By default I do not walk dogs off-lead unless they have great recall, are in a sercure dog field or I am confident in doing so.

I understand the potential consequences that could occur to my dog or to other dogs if walking my dog off the lead while in the care of Serendipawty K9 Care. I agree to release Serendipawty K9 Care from all should my dog become lost, injured or otherwise harmed which may result in my dog being walked off the lead.

Serendipawty K9 Care agrees to exercise all reasonable and due care to prevent injury or death to my dog off the lead – however, in the event of injury/death, except those caused by reckless acts on the part of Serendipawty K9 Care, they will not be held liable for such injury/death of my dog as a result of off-lead walking.

I do not anticipate that I will experience any problems during my visits. However, as a responsible carer, I must prepare for unexpected situations. For this reason, I ask owners to consider and agree to the steps I may need to take if their dog(s) require veterinary attention.

If any problems arise, or if your dog(s) show signs of illness, I will contact you directly to discuss the situation and determine the most appropriate course of action. If I am unable to reach you, I will attempt to contact your nominated representative. Please note that every effort will be made to speak with you first whenever possible.

By signing this agreement, you consent to Serendipawty K9 Care consulting a veterinary surgeon if it is deemed necessary. You also agree that the advice and recommendations of the veterinary surgeon may be followed in the best interests of your dog(s).

You are responsible for all veterinary fees incurred. Any veterinary treatment arranged will form a direct contract between you (the owner) and the veterinary practice consulted.

You agree to the following:

  • In the event of suspected illness, I authorise Serendipawty K9 Care to contact a veterinary surgeon, have my dog(s) examined, and allow investigations or treatment if required.
  • I agree to pay any veterinary fees or additional costs incurred by Serendipawty K9 Care on my behalf if veterinary treatment is necessary.
  • I authorise Serendipawty K9 Care to administer any prescribed treatments that a veterinarian recommends.
  • I hereby authorise Andrea Phillips to transport my dog(s) to the above veterinary practice or emergency practice if my primary vet is not available. I give permission for the practice to administer and care or medications necessary and will assume full responsibility for any fees incurred.

• I agree to give Serendipawty K9 Care access to my home located at the address stated above.
• Serendipawty K9 Care will safeguard the client’s key(s) in a manner consistent with that of the professional dog/home service industry, which includes tagging, coding and storing of key(s) in a manner that offers reasonable protection to Client in the event of loss or theft of key(s).
• Following the end of the service period, Serendipawty K9 Care will securely retain Client’s key(s) for safekeeping until contacted by the client to arrange repossession of key(s) or within 3 days, whichever is soonest.
• I will provide instructions to Serendipawty K9 Care on how my key should be returned if the service ends before my return (or if no previous arrangements have been made), ensuring this occurs within a maximum of three hours.
