Frequently Asked Questions

You can find my fees here. Just like you, I believe in being budget-conscious! I run my operations efficiently so that my fees can directly reflect the quality care I offer, not unnecessary costs.

As you look at my pricing, I encourage you to remember these key factors that contribute to the high-quality, trustworthy, and personalised care your dog receives:

It might even surprise you to learn that when you consider the total hours of the service you receive, the effective hourly rate is actually significantly less than the national minimum wage! How’s that for value for money?

Do you take PayPal?

I do not accept PayPal due to past issues with disputes and high fees. To keep payments simple and secure, I only accept bank transfers.

No, I’m afraid not. I believe in offering the best service I can and to do that I need to stay up to date with my qualifications and memberships.

I recommend booking as early as possible, particularly during peak holiday periods, as availability is limited to ensure each dog receives my full attention.

Why don’t you offer a service for cats?

After almost a year of follow-up appointments at the doctor’s and testing (including lots of medication and blood work),the results revealed that, unfortunately, I have an allergy to cats. I would be more than happy to connect you with another trusted pet sitter who offers excellent cat sitting services.

Yes, I always insist on at least one meet & greet session to get to know a bit more about your dogs, their health, their likes and dislikes and of course, if they are happy to meet me! This is included in my fees. However, should more than one session be required, there may be a charge dependent on where you live.

I always walk dogs on fixed leads as I need to ensure the safety of your dog and that of the people around me when walking your dog. The catches on flexi-leads can often fail, resulting in the cord of the lead getting wrapped around either your pet’s legs or the walker’s legs. You can read more about the risks of retractable leads here and here

Not unless they are in a secure dog field.

If the weather is too hot, your dog will be walked either early morning or in the evening when temperatures are cooler. If your dog does not like cold weather I will not force them to go out in the cold other than for toileting. In both cases, enrichment exercises will be given to your dog to keep them stimulated.

No, I am not insured or licensed to care for your dog in my home

As a dog professional, I understand the importance of reliability. I’m proud to have strong support, including my son who is also an experienced and dedicated dog sitter.

Yes. The time you book is exclusively dedicated to your dog.

To maintain confidentiality and guarantee undivided focus, I will be in your home alone for the entire duration of my visit.

At the very least, once a day, however, I am more than happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have whilst you are away.

If you have booked an overnight stay, other than somewhere to sleep, a fridge, a microwave and an internet connection (I will still be working whilst at yours) there is nothing more that I need, although a table or desk would be nice to work at it is not a necessity. I will bring my own towels etc. Instructions for appliances is also appreciated.

Yes, of course. This can be discussed at the Meet & Greet.

Do you care for dogs with special requirements?

Yes, I am experienced in caring for dogs with additional needs, including medication, senior care, and specific behavioural requirements with input from your trainer or behaviourist to maintain consistency. These can be discussed in detail during your Meet & Greet

What makes your service different?

I offer a highly personalised, one-to-one service tailored entirely to your dog. I never overbook, ensuring your pet receives dedicated care, consistency, and genuine companionship in the comfort of their own home.
